6. We collect the skip bin on the agreed day, or earlier if you need it gone sooner.

Materials are not allowed to be mixed; it is for a singular waste type, soil, or concrete, or bricks, or rocks, or stones. This helps to avoid contamination and wasting time at the recyclers.

We keep our pricing as clear as possible. Most jobs are covered by our standard skip bin hire prices, but some items and situations attract extra disposal or service charges. We explain these up front so you can book with confidence and avoid unexpected costs.

• Car tyres: $50 each

• 4x4 tyres: $85 each

• Gas bottles 9 kg or less: $25 each

Use the tips below, and you’ll usually finish the job with one bin, not two. If you're unsure which waste category your load falls into, call us so we can have a chat and sort it out before booking. It is cheaper to order the correct skip from the beginning, rather than to fix it later.

Green waste tips

• Cut branches, prunings, and green waste into smaller pieces. It compacts better and you fit more in.

• Use the walk-in door to step in and compact green waste safely as you load.

Light Domestic General Waste and Builders Waste Tips

• If you have some green waste, load it first. The rest of the load helps compact it down.

• Load steel and metal last. That helps us keep it separate for recycling at the transfer station.

Rain and excess weight tips

• If rain is likely, bag soft items like clothing, sheets, blankets, and pillows, etc. Wet fabric adds weight fast.

• Each corner of the bin has a drain hole. Do not block them. Clear drain holes let water escape and reduce the risk of excess weight charges.

• Bean bag balls must go in a sealed bag or box. Otherwise, they can escape through drain holes and end up on the road.

• If you have a tarp, throw it over the skip. We'll remove the tarp on collection and fold it for you.
