Mixed Heavy Recyclable Waste Skip Bins
For Jobs That Leave You With More Than One Heavy Material in the Same Pile
Some jobs leave you with a mixed pile of heavy recyclable materials that need to be removed properly in one go. Monbulk Skip Hire supplies 2m³ and 3m³ skip bins for mixed heavy recyclable waste across the Yarra Ranges, Yarra Valley, Dandenong Ranges and Southern Foothills.
We make it easier to clear heavy mixed loads without trailer trips, rehandling, or letting the pile sit there longer than it should.
Call Wendy to organise the right skip bin for the job.

What Can Go in a Mixed Heavy Recyclable Materials Skip Bin?
Some property jobs do not leave you with one clean pile of just soil, just concrete, or just bricks. They leave a mixed heavy pile made up of several recyclable materials from the one job, which is where this skip bin category makes sense. Instead of separating everything into different piles or trying to work around the mess while the job continues, you can load the heavy recyclable materials together into one skip bin and keep moving.
This type of skip bin suits jobs such as:
widening a driveway where the waste includes soil, concrete, bricks and rubble
pulling up an old outdoor area with pavers, mortar, dirt and rock
preparing ground for retaining wall work where clay, soil, broken concrete and stone all come out together
clearing heavier waste from around a property where the pile is made up of mixed hard materials from the same job
That is what makes this category different. It is for heavy recyclable materials that are mixed together only. No other waste permitted.
Mixed heavy recyclable materials categorisation is not for a general waste clean-up with other rubbish mixed through it. It is only for a mixture of soil, concrete, bricks, dirt, rocks, stones, etc.

Load Your Mixed Heavy Recyclable Skip Bin Safely
Once the heavy material starts going into the skip, the main thing is to keep to the following guidelines:
Keep the load flat and evenly spread across the length and width of the skip bin. This makes lifting and collection safer and reduces the risk of marking the underlying surface.
Do not pile too much weight into one end of the skip bin. An uneven load is harder and less safe to lift, especially with heavy materials such as concrete, bricks, soil, and rock.
The load must sit level with the top edge of the skip bin or lower, not heaped above the rim. If the material sits higher than the top edge, the skip bin is classed as overloaded.
Heavy materials should be loaded carefully and spread as you go, rather than dumped all in one spot and shifted around later.
If the load is too high or badly uneven, it may need to be corrected before the skip bin can be taken away, and additional fees may apply.

The Heavy Pile Is There. Now It’s Time to Get It Off the Property.
Once the concrete, bricks, soil, pavers and rock are sitting there in one mixed pile, the job usually starts feeling more frustrating than it did at the start. It gets in the way, takes up room, and is not something you want to keep shifting around by hand or leaving beside the driveway for weeks. Getting the right skip bin organised helps clear the load properly so the job can keep moving instead of stalling around the mess.
A quick call to Wendy is the easiest way to get it sorted. She can organise the right 2m³ or 3m³ mixed heavy recyclable skip bin and make the booking process clear from the start.
